i think the best place to go for the book is to GCPBA.ORG [grand
canyon private boaters assn.] when you have to go, the GC is a great
place, just not end up...

Perhaps that is a bit harsh. Failure to prepare adequately might be a
better way to put it. A lot of visitors have no idea how to operated
in the summer...
