BA closure
Any word locally about the status of the cleanup? Last I heard, the
parks dept was anticipating closing the trail for three weeks. I have
a rim to rim trip...

I don't have my map to look at, but I have been to Kanab many times from
Sowats Pt. From Sowats point the usual trail takes you into Sowats (I think)

Correction: The NPS boundry extends to the East bank of the Colorado
below the Navajo reservation. But it only includes the river not the land above
