The plan is to come through Phantom area about 4 AM heading north
then returning about 3 PM. First pass the eyes will be crazed and
the second pass...

While the site doesn't give current conditions at Phantom Ranch, it does
give forecasts for both the rim and along the river.

It appears all the N. rim forest fires have flared up substantially.
The Cape Royal road is closed again. It appears the Vista fire has
gone below the rim...

I'll be doing a Double Crossing on 9/29 (S. Kaibab -> N. Kaibab -> S.
Kaibab) so I'll be walking thru Phantom area twice. Look for a guy
with a crazed look...

GC Weather Data from NWS
At 6pm each day the weather stations at the North Rim as well as
Phantom Ranch provide weather data to the NWS.
After 9am & b/4 6pm the following link only...
