Temps in the southwest are cooler so peak power demands could be
(should be) be lower. Nothing along the normal Escalante Route will
be affected by any...

Right you are, Bob... not recommended to try to walk directly along
the river from Tanner beach. The part that seems to be creating the
problem is upriver...
