Most of the old 4wd road going out to Cape Solitude was closed to all
but foot traffice by NPS some years ago. When leaving the Desert
View developed area...

Is the 4wd road that goes out to Cape Solitude from near Desert View open?
If not what would be the closest point to hike out there from?
