Regarding this hike, I did it with the GCFI a few years ago (in August),
and the heat wasn't really bad. One of the good things about hiking...

Doc - I'm sure I have said this before....but the main way I "train"
for the Canyon up here in the cold north is: I load my backpack with
no less than 50...
