Miner Trail
Any familiar with the old Miner Trail which I believe starts near the
river trail and connects to the South Kaibab trail below the Tonto?

Oh yes! I have extensive experience! I once rowed a duckie nearly 4
miles from above the LCR to Lava Canyon Rapid. Mercifully, they made
me get back...

Besides, I would think that fares would be much lower into LAS or PHX
than Flag. At least last time I looked...

Ken,
If you are flying into Vegas, you can connect to a
communter airline directly to the Canyon and avoid
Flag...

I'm not even sure where this is, but looking at Amtrak's timetable suggests that it probably will
not work for me.
