I've hiked both the BA and SK trails, but not the Tonto inbetween. The SK trail is more open at the top, therefore you have more views. If you hike that...

Debbie, I would go down the SK to Tonto route. It may be a bit longer and the SK may be a bit steeper than BA, but along the Tonto you will definately...

I'd vote for Kaibab to Tonto to Indian Gardens. The stretch by Pipe Creek is really scenic. Years ago we found a ruin in Pipe Creek that Harvey Butchart...
