That is a subject that I am sure there are different opinions about.
Walking to the Colorado River on the BA Trail is something like 15.6

Okaaaay, learned something new. Cross that BA idea off
the list. when i passed through BA it looked about 1/4
full, that was a week day in march around noon...

I consider Canyon miles and climb to be more difficult than most other
places. What is your experience?

That's true, I've seen rangers politely tell hikers that since they
don't have a permit for the B.A. campground, they'll just have to head
for the rim... And,...
