The choice of footwear comes down to trail, load, physical condition,
balance, etc. Given optimum conditions, you could almost do the corridor
trails...

I would not wear running shoes to do a rim to rim, but if my broken in pair
of boots were destroyed or lost just before the trip I would put on the
sneaks...

sowats road last week
The road seemed very rough last week. Another troubling aspect was
the group of surprised campers sleeping on the point late at night.

There are only three campgrounds on the corridor trails between the north and south rim: Indian
Garden, BA, and Cottonwood.
