I use hiking poles and love them for the support and balance, especially on loose, uneven terrain. They also come in handy as a rod for suspending food...

Hiking sticks have made all the difference for my being able to hike in the canyon. Using them
going down, my knees give me no trouble in my mid-50's whereas...
