We have used a GPS on all of our gc trips. It is nice to have, but spend some time using it before you go as they can be complicated if you haven't played...

As long as you have a reasonably wide view of the sky a GPS device will work
just fine. I would not count on it working properly in narrow side canyons or...

You are absolutely right Adair. The first trip I did with my boy
across the canyon with Troop 800 of Phoenix in the early '70's had
more than 30 people...

Come on guys. If you know Doc well you know a lot of his stories are
put-ons. The 39 illegal trips were undoubtedly not trips from Lees
Ferry to Diamond...
