The cabin in Pipe Creek is virtually nonexistent. All that's left
is about a foot or so of the lowest section of the rock walls. There
are a lot of nails...

- You might consider showing up at the North Rim a day early to check at
the backcountry office for one of the Cottonwood slots they hold...

There was a cool little cabin there for many years. I don't know the history. The Park Service removed it.....what?.....20 years ago?

If I were you, I would arrive at the north rim one day earlier, and
try and get last minute "walk in" permits for Cottonwood. N.K. to BAC
is doable in one...

cabin near Pipe Creek
In the USGS 1:62.500 map a cabin is shown where the Tonto Trail
crosses Pipe Creek between Indian Graden and the Tipoff. I couldn't
find it in any other map...
