A great place to camp and see the sunrise is shoshoni point area. This is also where a old trail comes onto the rim. I caught some great sunrise photos...

Mark - for each campground there are permits for a certain number of parties. A party is 1-6 persons, so your chances of obtaining a permit shouldn't be...
