Great information. I would also make sure that I had
some metal cleats (sp?) or cramp-ons for the snow and
ice. It os very difficult to hike without them in...

I would not worry about the weather because you will be staying at
Phantom Ranch in a heated room or cabin. I would be prepared for snow,
and rain along...

Unfortunately, you can't predict what the weather is going to do in AZ. The rim usually has snow in February. And I've hiked to Phantom in a blizzard...
