That's quite true! I've lost 15+ pounds in the last couple months, with another 15 or so to go. It does make a big difference! Havasupai a couple weeks ago...

I you are like me the best way to shave weight off is to lose some weight of the BODY! I could drop 15-25 pounds kinda making the pack and other weight...

I take a Gatorade bottle for use in camp, but for hiking, I use a hose attachment to my MSR Dromedary bag. I've never had any problems with the dromedary bag...
