Do you think Toroweap and the Lava Falls route is something to try in
the winter? Have to be well prepared to get snowed in I suppose. No

The lodge at Jacob Lake is open year round other than during or right
after a bad snow storm. Also, the road to Toroweap is like a freeway
compared to most...

Don't forget Toroweap overloop is also on the North Rim. The road
into there can become muddy but it never gets snow. Views at Torweap
are some of the best...
