I have heard that this winter may be more severe than recent ones. The cross
country ski idea is intriguing, but sounds like a ton of work.

If you are talking about using forest service roads to get from
Monument Point to Swamp Point to do the North Bass trail, I would bet
against it every year....

If you're talking about reaching Swamp Point in March by road, I'd
say good luck. We ran into quite a bit of snow in late April along
with many downed trees...

There was a way the year we went. In fact, I drove it in a Saab, which is
