Great report Dick!I love the personal comments/evaluations on various
situations during the hike...too many just say "we went from point A to
point B" I want...

Isn't the Escalante "route" pretty much of a trail nowadays? That's
the way it seemed 6 years ago to me. It was definitely more of a
route 20 years ago, but...

Services for the North Rim generally close down on Oct. 15, give or
take a day or two. Roads, of course, stay open till significant snow
closes them. I do...
