this trip but I never told them about it :) We talked about using

Great report Dick!I love the personal comments/evaluations on various
situations during the hike...too many just say "we went from point A to
point B" I want...

Isn't the Escalante "route" pretty much of a trail nowadays? That's
the way it seemed 6 years ago to me. It was definitely more of a
route 20 years ago, but...
