Huitzal and both as day hikes and backpacks. On the map Huitzal
looks shorter but the walk...

The unseasonal warmth and dryness has made the those two trails
pretty reasonalbe to do without crampons --- footwear with good tread
and safe attitude IMO...

years we have seen 3-4 storms blow through in March, each one
dropping a foot or more...
