I agree with Adair's comment that you shouldn't do this. This is a very unusual and fragile area and the history suggests that it can't be accomplished...

The unseasonal warmth and dryness has made the those two trails pretty reasonalbe to do without crampons --- footwear with good tread and safe attitude IMO...
