Drop the tent. There's cover on the Esplanade, and a poncho should do in Deer
Creek and Tapeats - of course there is always that issue of deer flies in...

We did Bill Hall/Tapeats late in May three years ago. No need for a tent but
use for a tarp for shade and in case of rain. It may be pretty cold on the
Rim....

No water that I know of till you hit the creek...I'd take a tent if you camp up high...otherwise I'd take nada...Doc
