The scorpions are not a problem....depending on your tolerance for ledges and vertical drop there is quite and are through the redwall which may test your...

I'd fly into Vegas and do the car rental thing!Camp out of it and a tent,bivy etc. Take a loop drive to the Grand Canyon and then around toward Lake...
