The last time I went through there (Hermit to Bright Angel) a couple
months ago I didn't notice many cairns at all. Maybe a few going through
the drainages....

I believe most of the Tonto has been gps'd and uploaded as well as a
few other GC trails.
Get the NG Topo! software either AZ or GC NPS version and download...
