Leaving the top of the BA w/headlamps at 4 AM with idea of being at 2 mile corner as soon as there is decent light to follow the route to the saddle.

Yes, but somewhere along the line we missed a cairn or
two and surmised the wrong route. Next time, we'll
know to watch for a slightly lower route. We'll try...
