Monday's high at Phantom was reported by NWS at 112 with a trace of
rain.... That's too hot--time for hiking at 3am when temps at the
bottom finally cool to...

Hermits rest shuttle buses
The information I have on the shuttle buses is that the first one departs
for hermits rest at 4:30 am, for the month of august
but in this post you say 7:30....

Yes, the BCO still gives out a gate code for those with permits to hike the Hermit trail.
