N. Rim SERVICES (hotel, gas station, etc.) shut down in mid-Oct.
while the ROADS will remain open till there is large enough snow fall
to close the roads....

On our r to r end of Aug. I developed wrap-around
blisters on my heels the 2nd day due to fit of hiking
socks. Hiked out from Phantom via IG in socks...
