After you got out at Dripping Springs, did you hike on the old road back to the West Rim Road or back to Hermits Rest along the rim?

I'm pretty sure that the road to the Dripping Springs trailhead is now off-limits to vehicles, as is the 'boundary-line' road out to the Pasture Wash...

Robert, I always carry a lot of duct tape, and thanks for the parachute cord suggestion. My boots were about 12 years old. I should have replaced them before...
