Randy...personally,I'd do Grandview Horseshoe Mesa as there are better views it being a "ridge"trail" and cool caves and such...like

From the Dripping Springs trailhead, I followed the roads back to the Waldron
trailhead, and from there I took off cross country back to Hermit's...

After you got out at Dripping Springs, did you hike on the old road
back to the West Rim Road or back to Hermits Rest along the rim?
