From the recomendations of this group, and after two knee scopings,
I purchased a pair of trekking poles about 5 years ago. I will now
not go hiking...

I personally have not tried trekking poles yet. This group just
about has me convinced to buy a pair. However, I am 5'9", I have a 6'
stick, diamond...

If you are only considering using one stick then wood is probably fine and shocks are not
