Portions of the rim are easily hiked. Hiking the very edge of the
rim is not always so easy, as it is cut by numerous side canyons,
washes, etc. ...

I beleive the alt way into the park is still open via the forest
service road by the stables which leads to Maswik Lodge.
Bypasses the whole mess as well as...
