If you change the datum in your GPS to NAD27, the waypoints you have saved in your GPS
should then be displayed using this new datum. They should then match...

The large volcano like structure east of the watchtower is Cedar
Mountain. Although there are lots of volcanic cinder cones southeast of
there, it isn't...

I think 1/8 may be the datum offset. I noticed this when I tried to
convert Topo waypoints to the map.
It might work to get a Topo kit (use datum option)...

Check which datum you are using, there can be a noticable difference between
1927 and 1984. 1/8 mile sems like a lot.
