If you change the datum in your GPS to NAD27, the waypoints you have saved in your GPS should then be displayed using this new datum. They should then match...

I think 1/8 may be the datum offset. I noticed this when I tried to convert Topo waypoints to the map. It might work to get a Topo kit (use datum option)...
