If you could follow the Clear Creek Trail then you should be able to follow the Tonto okay.

By the way, five nights sounds good. I would do night 1 on the
redwall, nights 2 and 3 at Palisade ck (getting in the LC hike),
night 4 past Tanner beach...

I've hiked 4 times in the Canyon, but the only non-corridor trail has
been Clear Creek. I've been asking about, and reading about, the
