Thanks, you got a laugh out of me. I did ask the trip leader how long he thought this hike would take, and if i remember correctly, he said 6 maybe 8 hours....

I would choose to hike alone rather than not hike at all. And I would rather hike alone than hike with an incompatable partner. To me, solo business trips...
