The trails with big steps that I remember are Hermit and Red Canyon
(New Hance). Grandview has some, but in this case you can be extra
careful at just those...

Think about a loop on the Tonto --- very easy on the knees. S. Bass->Tonto->Hermit is 44 miles and 7 days is a reasonable time on that one. Can't beat the...
