alum to settle river water ?
Has anybody ever heard of using "alum" to settle river water quickly ?
Somebody mentioned they had heard of it from another hiker (settles
silt out of river...

I've "explored" the cave but you really need scuba gear as the head space disappears ..but it goes back quite aways...and it's
