I would suggest going down S. Kaibab and go out up Bright Angel also;
especially for the first time. Kaibab follows ridges so you get
great views going...

I think the S. Kaibab is harder mostly because the steps are higher where
they have the posts on the trail...but it is worth it because the views are so...

Oh, on the SK trail it is really not any steeper (to me), the BA trail
has ~2 miles of river trail so the average grade is less. I recommend
