I saw folks sleeping outside (without tent) at Indian Gardens last night.
That is a couple thousand feet higher than bright Angel campground. I did

I just returned from the Canyon and completed this loop. We did SK to Bright
Angel Campground. Then to Indian Gardens campground to camp....

treking poles = a must, I agree. I don't agree on having your gear carried
out on a mule. It is part of the adventure to take care of yourself and carry...
