The North Rim campground used to have space reserved for walk-ins
(those without vehicles) and I suspect they still do. Perhaps Bob A

Summer hiking in GC is an aquired taste I guess.
Much of my route connecting within GC was done on summer vacation
trips and hot holiday extended weekends...

Hiking with anyone else is a risk for both them and you.
However when you hike with someone you know is not physically as fit
as you are and probably not...

Hi all. Last November 3rd-5th my wife and I made our first hike into the canyon. S. Kaibab to BA campground, then to Indian Garden and out to the South Rim....

Throw in clothing choices - Long-sleeved desert shirts and a full brimmed hat
limits exposure to direct sunlight.
