I've never treated a person on a River trip for giardia but I suppose it happens; however I have treated at least a dozen GC hikers...there is a latent period...

just get a good filtr and you wont get sick stuff liekt hat stuff will
make the water taist bad. filters will get read of girdia and every
thing else and...
