Cranberry Canyon isn't a trail, but the route is well described in Steck's
Loop Hikes I. We went from I.H. to Deer Creek in a day, but I would break it up...

I use a Ursack, knot the top, then tie it up with fishing line.
Never have had a problem with anything - mice, ringtails, ravens,
even at Tapeats and Deer...
