ordinary i should be prepared for on the hermit trail. Depends on what is ordinary for you :-) If you've never hiked the Canyon before, the extreme heat...

i did the hermit a few weeks ago. Both Hermit and Monument have ammo boxes...nice spots both of them. Make sure to hike down the creek while at Monument...
