i experience runners high as a runner, but i've experienced hikers high
twice now, both at the canyon.

I agree 100% with Karen...going down is when all the injuries occur;only exercise I've found (besides frequent GC trips)that helps

Food needs
I can get by with one pound of food per day if it is all very dry. I pack
one and a half pounds for my husband again--very dry. This means we hike out...
