If you have not been to the mine on the east side of Horshoe Mesa I
think you will find it a worthwhile stop. The trail between Page
Springs and the mesa...

I would hike out by way of Horseshoe Mesa and the Grandview Trail.
It's a much more enjoyable hike with lots of pretty scenery and many
fun things...

If one is approaching this area from the Tanner area on a day's hike, the biggest danger
might be that you are beginning to get pretty tired, perhaps shaky...

BTW http://www.jcu.edu/philosophy/gensler/gce/html/38.htm is a pretty
decent picture of the climb off the beach at Papago. That seems to
