I faxed mine at 7am est and it went through on the 2nd try. The canyon gods must have been smiling with favor on me today!!!!!

After reading all the posts about permit timing, I faxed my request in
last night at 5:30 pm AZ time and it went right through on the first
try. That sure...

I think the edge to be had in requesting permits is to make a really
open request.
Such as - any 4 days in April, starting on a Monday for the Hermit-BA...
