I use simular colored duct tape to repair holes. Put some on both
sides overlapped and stitch it around. Or get ripstop tape and do
the same.

The latest BA trail closing announcement states that the BA is closed between Cinch-up
and IG. It describes Cinch-up as being 1/4 mile below the trailhead....
