Same from me. To Phantom Ranch and back from the N Rim in 2 days is
not what I would recommend for a 1st GC hike.
Suggestions for stoping over at Cottonwood...

There is a canyon shuttle that does just that. They shuttle rim
hikers from S. Rim to N. Rim and back. I'm not sure of times. I
think they only run 1 per...
