Ridiculous is the word for it. Major obstacle to an otherwise
perfectly good published hiking route, and the best access to the
Crystal area.

When I was out there a couple of years ago it was signed in the
meadow along the road to Point Sublime from the North Rim ranger
station. No wheeled traffic...
