Theres just not as many people hiking to Cottonwood in the winter as
few come down from the North Rim while its closed except to those
that crosscountry ski...

Just returned form the canyon...
I just got back last night from the canyon. I hiked down the S. bass
to the LC from the 2nd to the 26th of Febuary.

Doc,
A friend of mine called about Cottonwood and was told they only
issue 25 percent of capacity in the winter...
Anyone have more details? My guess...

helicopter on rescues. I have never heard them use a speaker
